Orange Coast College Pitcher Juan San Juan signs with the Albert Lea Lakers!

Posted by Albert Lea Lakers on Dec 14 2017 at 05:15PM PST

Juan is a freshman RHP who went to high school at St. John Bosco in Bellflower, California. An injury plagued Juan’s SR year high school season. However as a JR, Juan had a 1.45 ERA for the Braves. St. John Bosco plays in an extremely tough conference. Juan is competing to be in the starting rotation for the “loaded” Orange Coast College this spring.
“Juan comes to us as a recommendation from Coach Altobelli. I think Juan is an extremely talented young man with his best pitching in front of him. He’s a 3 pitch guy who can really dial it up when he needs to. He’s got a good frame at 6’4 and I think he’s capable of playing Division 1 and even professionally if he continues to work and progress like he did this fall at OCC. Juan is a guy that is going to get rotation innings for us because of his talent and attitude on the mound. I am extremely excited to see him battle in the red and blue this summer for us in Albert Lea.” – Coach Keeran
